Mugging and robbery are a regular thing in this city and it is very wise not to travel or be caught out late at night in this city. You are almost asking to be robbed, this is not a place for tourists and is one of the most dangerous places for pedestrians to be. Almost half the 3,000 people that die each year in car related accidents in Nairobi are pedestrians.
